Everything! As stated above, it had it's own feel to the game! and it was among the first PC games to use digitized graphics! A truly innovative game!

Well, I just love those ROTT weapons... they are just great! Mmmm something I don't like much ROTT are the first wall textures of the game, didn't appreciate them much... I like the enemy sprites too... and the new engine improvements are excellent too! Some of the best are the stairs, and places that are bigger the wolf rooms...

The infinite ammo, the hordes of enemies, the cool puzzles, the right amount of weapons (who needs more?), the innovative multiplayer mode, the multiple characters to choose from, the wonderful cult following
WinROTTGL which was an amazing find... made the game more appealing to spoiled new school gamers who can't handle anything DOS related... it's from a time when all that games needed was just to be FUN. And what a fine example of that this was.
It was no DOOM, sure, but it was and still is mighty refreshing.
It's great that people still care about this game, and all old school Apogee games as well.

Post subject: What you like about rott
Here is where you can put what you find interesting, special, or just cool about rott. I find that despite it was based on an old engine when it was released like wolf3d, it looks very different and had many more features than wolf3d had, and looked almost like doom. I also like that while it's a very versatile engine, it's simple enough that noobs like me can make maps for it. Now, if only I found a way to run the maps I've made on a rott port.
