I like it, has more color to it. I assume there's going to be a v1.2 then? |

I've been doing some work over the past few days, (improved weapons, many various small improvements etc) + new deathmatch levels + a copy of wall to wall.
anyway the biggest change I've done is the 'colormap', from the automatic one my editor generates(washed out color), to the exact same one as ROTT, the following screenshots show the difference.
before
after

Maybe someday in the future when that editors basic editing ability is fully finished |

Yeah, I've tried messing with the import Doom thing. I wasn't very successful. It seemed a little random in it's 'interpretation'. |

'Tis true.
It is possible but very time consuming according to El Zee. A lot of painstaking work went into it. What would be cool is if we somehow had a ROTT to Doom level converter. I know there's a Wolf to ROTT application and I know there's a Wolf to Doom thing for the ZDoomWolf TC so in theory it could be done. I wish I was talented! |
Closest we got is the ability to import a doom wad via Rott3deditor...but I highly doubt that function is complete
Also if you look at its grayed out options, its seems birger was going for the ability to export a rott map as a doom wad... |

From what LZ was telling Per-Scan on IRC, I think he actually had to reconstruct that level from scratch, examining the original shareware level to make sure he got it right. |

It certainly is. The multiplayer is greatly improved too. Less lag and sync issues. The weapons have slightly altered behaviour too. |
