To be fair to the iPhone, though, if you play games suited to it's interface it's a pretty good machine. On-rails shooters, pinball games, the Wolf and Doom RPG games are all great on it. It only really fails when folk try to shoehorn certain game types onto it. My problem is all my favourite games are in the 'shoehorn' category!

I would so love to get a hold of one of those, they look excellent for portable gaming.

And nope, no iphone for me Smile

Yeah, I got it a while back. When it first came out the controls were shockingly bad. Now, they're just iPhone touchscreen bad! It's still definitely worth a download though as it is playable once you get used to the lack of tactile response from the control scheme. It also comes with extra levels which is nice. Smile

If the iPhone had been released with even a D-Pad and a couple of face buttons it would've been an instant DS killer for me... As it stands, it's a nice diversion but nothing beats the DS for portable gaming (well, maybe the Pandora but they're not available to pick up and cost a fortune when they are!!).

All that aside, ROTT on the iPhone is certainly the best old school FPS on the iPhone and, indeed, in the top 5 of all the FPS's for that platform...

Do any you guys have an iPhone, at all?

I'm confused. Is this different than the ROTT I already have on my iPod touch?
