What to post?

Edit:

Maybe this will liven up the forums a bit:

What we need is more people interested in rott making cool maps for it, and a good working multiplayer rott port. dosbox is too clumsy and doesnt work for most players, and glrott requires open ports and it's not client-server. I like the mp3 support in the latest version nonetheless. Rott had jumpads way before they were the norm, (quake 3 anyone?)

Surely we can find something to talk about. Twisted Evil I know, let's all resume the pressure for a LINrottGL release, for Tux's sake. Twisted Evil On the more serious side, my dad is a ROTT player as well. He and my brother have been photographing surfaces with the intent to be used for textures. I should probably post the his work on the sky textures for Foggy Mountain. The new mountains are really impressive in comparison to the cartoonish ones in my opinion.

Your post is a couple of years old, so I assume dosbox wasn't as mature back then. As I write this, my friends and I are running ROTT in dosbox v0.72 and it works perfectly. We connect up across the net and frag each other with heatseakers at every opportunity (which, unfortunately, isn't all that often)...

WinROTT/GLROTT is also a good option for online play.
