Do you plan on making updates for it? If so I can wait for awhile until its in a little more polished state. |

Well, I plan on learning more about the scripting system before I will make it more advanced. That would take some time. _________________ -Swim, swim, hungry |

I've downloaded and installed it with no problems at all. What I would suggest, however, is that an option for a Start menu, quick launch and/or desktop shortcut would be handy.
I know you're just learning how to do this stuff and it's way more than I could achieve so this is far from a complacent request. I just think that option would make the 'package' a lot slicker - especially for noobs...
PS: Should I write a disclaimer text file? I don't want to step on anyone's toes by just battering one out... |

Go for it... I can edit it as needed if I see anything that needs to be added.
And sure, I can make it spit out a Start Menu Icon... I was just wondering how delete it without it erroring if the user deletes it themselves first. But I can see how now. It will have a confirmation box asking if they want a shortcut for their Start Menu... I don't think I'll go for the Quick Launch and Desktop shortcuts right now though.
Oh, and the link to the Installer won't change with each update, so if you see me say it's updated, just use the old link. _________________ -Swim, swim, hungry |

This is directed towards both Dopefish and Per-Scan. Where you guys going to work together to get some type of disclaimer/readme thing done for this installer? _________________ Head on over to the Rise of the Triad HQ for ROTT news, downloads, and more!

Oops.
I'll rattle something up in the morning as it's now midnight here and I'm going to watch The Walking Dead then go to bed. |

Cool... I still have the installer script handy for when you are done... That way I could just put it right in. _________________ -Swim, swim, hungry |

Looks great to me. If you wanted, you could also mention that Cody can be reached through his facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/cody.ellsworth to remove any mystery.

Thanks. Are you sure Cody would be happy with that? |

No idea. But he's publicly searchable, and anyone is free to contact him, as I was. I don't see the problem. If he doesn't want to be reached, then he wouldn't be on Facebook, as I see it. _________________ I love ROTT |

Okey dokey. I've updated it with Cody's Facebook address added as a suffix to his credit listing. It's at the same link. |

Woah! Welcome back Player Lin...
It looks good, but a few things could be changed... (A few typos and a spelling error)
Made a few edits:
Quote: | This software has been released under the freeware licence with permission of the original author. It includes a copy of the full version of ROTT Mapper Deluxe.
RMD was originally released as shareware with an $8 price tag. The shareware version was limited to allow only 3 levels to be created per RTL until the software was registered through a key given by Cody Ellsworth.
Cody, however, left the Rise of the Triad scene, leaving the editor without a means of registration. Mike Miller managed to contact Cody in late 2010, and asked him if he would still accept payment for the editor. Cody replied the following:
"Unfortunately, since I no longer have the source code for RMD, I can no longer offer support for it. Because of that, I couldn't possibly accept any money for it. However, I am perfectly fine with you using whatever key works for you."
The software is now fully functional and is free to use.

Feel free to use your edit. I'm normally a little more articulate but my planned easy day has become a busy nightmare of doom! |
