OK, since the boards are sorta quiet now, I'm gonna put a quick guide on setting up a multiplayer game with two great programs available freely on the internet: http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/ Dosbox and Dukonnector. http://duke3d.vachu.com/files.htmlDukonnector.

Ok, first download and install dosbox. Obvious, right? Then, get dukonnector and install that too. Once installed, open dukonnector.

Ok. on the login screen you can either register a login name or play anonymously. Choose whichever you please.

Upon logging in, go to Settings -> Directories. Then Add dos game.

Here, we will create an entry for a dos game, in this case, rott.

On the first field, type in the name of the game, (rott , duh) In the second one, select Locate to browse your C:\ drive, and go to the directory where your original rott.exe executable is. Then click OK. Now, on the third field, click its Locate button and this time find the path to your setup.exe file. This will be used for setting up a net game. When done, click ok to exit.

Now, we need to tell dukonnector where to find dosbox. Click on the locate button to the right of Dosbox --> and, you know what to do, this time for locating dosbox.exe

Easy, heh? You're done! Now youre ready to begin playing rott online!! One player has to be the host, and (s)he needs to have their ports opened and forwarded. The other players dont need to in order to join that player's server. The host can now click on Action --> Host and fill the self-explanatory window for host settings. Once done, click ok, and the server will be made public. Other players can now join the fun!

You forward ports in your modem, or in your router if you have one.

Doomjedi, dosbox provides good framerates in rott, just adjust them with ctrl-f9 i think to get them right if youre not ok with them.

The same way you played duke on dukonector, but instead you create a dos game entry in dukonnector and specify where the rott.exe and the setup.exe are located. Then you specifiy where dosbox is located at. And that's it! Very Happy
