Great job dopefish!! I'll take a look at this. Always welcome your great contributions to this site. Hey, could you upload the music files to another file hosting service, like rapidshare maybe? Megaupload doesnt work where I am located at unfortunately. _________________ ROTT lives! |

Remeber this is D3D Fan's work, not mine.
About the download, have you tried a proxy yet?
If that doesn't work I'll upload it to sendspace for you. _________________ -Swim, swim, hungry

Well, since the megaupload link is not available anymore, i have re-uploaded the files into one single file. These are remixed tracks of the original musical tracks of the game, all in MP3 format. Extract them to the rott folder, and in the winrott launcher select use MP3.
enjoy!

Just thought I'd update this thread with a working link for the HQ music:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9MGMSST8
I took it from the 3DR forum and it seems to be up to date. The other links are all dead... |

You're most welcome. It sounds amazing doesn't it? The good news is that he intends to put a MP3 version eventually which means you will be able to listen to it on your favourite music player while walking down the street!
I converted the files to MP3 for use in WinROTT (when it doesn't crash on me!) but I'm hoping the files MusicallyInspired puts up will be higher (hi-fi) quality.
The ROTT soundtrack is one of the best in any game I've played. It's nice to see it finally getting some love. Ian Jackson is a genius. And Bobby isn't too shabby either! |

This is true...
They were both awesome composers.
Plus this was sampled with a high quality soundfont, makes it sound that much better.
An example of a good soundfont: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwiksA7Ltp8
(And yes, I know that onestop.mid is horribly corny) _________________ -Swim, swim, hungry |

Yup, that was a corny demo! But it is amazing the quality you can get out of a sound font.
I hope that, one day, WinROTT gets Fluidsynth support. I use the WeedsGM3 sound font for my Doom stuff and I'd like to give it a try with ROTT sometime... |
