Alright, i'm thinking about getting this started, but need to ask a few things.

Per-Scan: Did you manage to ever get RMD working alright again?

Mike: Once I finish getting through Mike's Madness, would you still be interested in this?

Dopefish: You showed a little interest in this awhile back, would you feel up for it now?

Player Lin: I know you rarely have time and are quite busy, but think you might want to give this a try sometime?

As for the other members of the board, If you want to give this a try just say something.

I've never really made a whole map before, what little I've done was to just
test some function in winrottgl to see if it would crash or not, but I might
be interested in doing something, here's a off-the-wall idea, would it be
possible to re-make the original darkwar/huntbegin levels using the rott-tc
as a base? the only issues off hand would be learning level editors that are
suited for gzdoom, not one of the original rott level editors.

Well the plan for this project is to create a true community project for the original ROTT, as I was kinda dismayed there hasn't been one yet. And if you would want to try it out that would be just fine with me and would be great Very Happy

BUT! it would not be all that far fetched to say we couldn't try to remake the original level as you said. I myself have jumped from the doom community to here, and know my way around a doom editor. (I would just need to get reacquainted with GZDoom specific features). In fact there may be a few changes happening around here and that idea of yours Jbailey would be the perfect spearhead project Wink. Who else here has tried there hand at Doom mapping?

Sure, I'd either be willing to donate my 15 levels, or create new ones, or both.

To be honest, as of current, not really... Surprised
Maybe if I get interested in map editing again. I have been just hacking away at other projects as of late. Don't count me 100% out though.

Well, I'm still damn busy as usual... :p
And I found my Dark Realm levels are a little randomly(about wall textures), but I think it's OK, just modified it may work but I think I can just recreate new levels for this project... I don't know...

Is this project has a deadline or something, if I can I may try make something for this project, but I can't guarantee I can finish and throw it out... :\

Well, I do have a new level ("Tormentor") that nobody's seen yet. This could certainly be a start for me...

Lawstiker, you could very well be the first human on planet earth (other than me, of course) to complete the Mike's Madness episode. And I hope, not the last. Smile

I have indeed got RMD working again (on a different machine!) but I'm also messing around with Birger's editor so I have a choice now. Smile

I'm totally up for this but as I'm a noob at mapping and still getting acquainted with the editors I'm not entirely sure how many maps I can deliver. Nor can I guarantee their quality! Razz

But, yeah, I'm a +1. Smile

As for the ROTT TC remake idea - that's certainly something for the (not so far?) future...
