As everyone is aware the ROTT forum is without an admin. The admin we had is missing in action though we continue to try avenues of contact.
This has left us in a quandary. Do we continue on this forum with no real control or do we create a new forum at the risk of breaking the already small ROTT community?
The last thing I want is for this place to close. It's small but it's a keen and positive community and we now have lots to look forward to in the future with regards to numerous projects from a new editor through remix music tracks and even up to a community mapping project (the first in ROTT history!). With this in mind I have been in contact with the forum provider Bizhat. They have told me that if nobody objects - and that certainly includes admin himself - they will grant me rights to this forum.
This is great news! It means we no longer have to worry about this forum's future and it also frees us up to develop and modernise the place. This can include a Shoutbox for organising matches amongst other things. I'm sure people can already see the benefits of such a development!
So, to that end, I have made this a poll, the question being is this an acceptable future for you? I will leave the poll open until Friday. After that we'll see where our future lies... 
Please rest assured nobody will be locked out - this isn't intended as a mutiny. Admin and others would always be welcome and will continue to have mine and the communities' greatest respect - After all, without admin this place wouldn't exist at all! |

Heh, I didn't say which was my way of thinking.
I happen to think both is true, with the possible exception that the number six could possible be changed to 20, but not all 20 are interested at the same time.

(admin was tell me about here, if not him, I won't appear on here...too bad he's MIA, and he was send PM about 8 months ago when I was forgot here due a lot of shit happens on me...damn! :\)

While I think it would be awesome to create something like that, something that could merge the ROTTpository, Tribune, and this Forum...its just a little beyond our resources at the moment.

It would be really cool, to have a site like that, a really good rott HQ if you like.

Having a general Rise of the Triad Headquarters would be the absolute dream of this community, but the ROTT community is pretty much running on free services around here  . This Forum? Free from Bizhat (unless admin paid for certain features). The ROTTpository? A simple Freewebs site. Gets the job done though. The recent ROTT Tribune? Free blog service.
Now if I had the money to throw around for hosting I would LOVE to throw all three of these sites into one to create a central place for ROTT...but thats not going to happen for a long time. From me at least.
P.S. Was you still interested in making a proper skin for this place el zee ?

hrm the hosting that my site uses is free and pretty good(10 gig of bandwith per month, 1 gig disk space), I could buy a domain name. it has heaps of web apps available as well like wordpress etc.
Also we have a skin in mind http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0/index.php?style_id=10 like that but with the banner I posted.
