For the umpteenth time since 1995, ROTT is again dead....despite all the "growth" and interest in the game prior to Christmas 2010.

Since there have been so many rebirths in the past 15 years, I look forward with great anticipation to the next one. Smile

Perhaps that just ROTT's lot in life, go through cycles of dead and alive. At least someone played your episode this time mike Wink

Yeah, there was lots of interest and momentum up until last christmas, and now it's all gone. I replied to Lawstiker that maybe it's got something to do with the expectations of back before I came back, that a big revamp was going to take place. I told him too, that lots of times before, I tried looking for other providers since, if he or per-scan had gotten the Admin status, they wouldve found out that this provider offers very little to make any changes. Maybe a switch could help give this community again a needed jumpstart.

Stop being so grim. What we need is some thing to do, thats why the growth stopped.

GL-ROTT doesn't allow custom wads yet, so you use the original wad, meaning you can't give mods away for free download because your basically giving away the full game for free.

Oh..?

I was curious about the whole WAD thing since many user levels could potentially be compiled into a single file. Surprised

Map files are different, they use .rtl files, so you should be fine combining them.

Well... Not really as custom WADs aren't supported as of yet.
