Anyone got any ideas suggestions on how to reviving this rott board/community? I was thinking the new rott game being developed brings in a good option to reviving the rott modding and playing community. They have a legacy section in their boards, we could try posting there. IM not saying completely migrate to their board though. _________________ ROTT lives! |

The biggest issue is finding the people that wish to remain active. I myself attribute my prior success here because I had someone to bounce idea's back and forth with he he kinda dropped off the net
Though where is this board that you speak of? _________________ Head on over to the Rise of the Triad HQ for ROTT news, downloads, and more!

Iīll bounce ideas back and forth with you! That ROTT remakeīs board is at interceptor entertaintmentīs board. They have a section to ROTT 95, which is empty. Iīm liking this new game, but i think itīs mosty these developers trying to make a name for themselves by using a well known game more than anything else. _________________ ROTT lives!

I think one way to bring new people and revive this community would be making it simple to play online Rott. We should make some kind of community dedicated rott server which is up most of the time and people can play rott comm-bat matches there. Anyone think is a good idea? _________________ ROTT lives! |

Finally did some research on the new rott, and it does look quite fantastic . If they can pull it off right, this probably would be an excellent way to start off there gaming reputation.
As for bouncing idea's, not sure where to begin really. The loss of the new forum wasn't a real biggy, as there wasn't enough development there to have it hold any valuable information. This place on the other hand, I'm sure glad Schabbs remembered to monitor this place as this place has alot of valuable information.
And I agree greatly. Online multiplayer is always a way to keep a great game alive, especially since its multiplayer aspect was a blast to begin with. The biggest problem is achieving online multiplayer without going through old or difficult ways . Per-scan was actually the more active in this department, as he was communicating with the yang people or what ever that program was that seems to escape my mind at the moment
The other side that usually keeps these older games going is modding, and the area I focused on most before. I know through comunnity efforts we got Birgers editor a bit more tweaked, but I never finished actually making anything with it. _________________ Head on over to the Rise of the Triad HQ for ROTT news, downloads, and more!

We should get Birger more involved in this community. I tried emailing him a long while back, and he replied often, but he kinda dropped off too. Ill thinking, people active here should try to see whether they can make commbat matches without much problems with whats available now. _________________ ROTT lives! |
