Don't know how many of you have messed with blood at all, but just in case you haven't its a very awesome and atmospheric game that used the Build engine. Sadly its community has never gotten a proper port, as the source code had been lost (we'll, unreleasable I should say. Someone DOES have it, they just can't ).
Well Lucius, the creator of Dark XL, has added support for two other games. Outlaws, and now Blood. Now after all this time DosBox will no longer be a requirement to play Blood

To my knowledge, one of the original programmers has a copy of the
source code, Matt Saettler, He's been approached quite a few times over
the years to get him to release his copy of the blood source code, and
he's stated that he's fine with this himself, but he needs to get a 'official'
ok from the company he works for before he can do that, I'm not sure,
but I think Atari currently has the rights to the blood source code, they've
been sent a lot of emails regarding this situation, but have never
responded. |

Thats been the major roadblock in there attempts to get the code. Atari never seems to respond or care about it at all.

Thank you for this . I saw this once, then tried to find it and never could again.
Though if Lucius is successful, I don't think there would be much need for the source code anymore.
