Your post is a couple of years old, so I assume dosbox wasn't as mature back then. As I write this, my friends and I are running ROTT in dosbox v0.72 and it works perfectly. We connect up across the net and frag each other with heatseakers at every opportunity (which, unfortunately, isn't all that often)... |
Cool! Do you have msn or a similar way of contacting you? I'd like to try a rott game with dosbox. I cant host, my ISP doesnt allow hosting, so you'd have to. The problem with dosbox is that its not streamlined and easy to use as a full featured game launcher that can run on many platforms, which is one of the main objectives of this board and where the efforts of most of its members are directed at.

Lately we've been trying to play starting around 9:30pm EST on Wednesday nights, after we put the kids to bed... If you get dosbox up and running and ROTT v1.3 loaded, I can host....

It's tentatively scheduled, assuming assuming all else goes well here at home. Email me so I know how to contact you. I might be able to play you 1-on-1 before Wednesday, to make sure everything works, etc...
