I'll be happy to host the code or new binarys... But you will have to keep the link in your sig because I am currently working hard at finding some decent web-page software... (Don't know html that well. Embarassed)

No, I haven't contacted him yet, he's usually pretty good at keeping
the source code available, I'm assuming he's holding off at the moment
for some problem with the source code. If it's not released in a few days,
I'll ask him about it...

Oh ok, good to know. Smile What about linux support? This is one aspect that I would like to get working on winrottgl. Making it multiplatform, freeing it from a windows-only realm. Is it possible to compile winrottgl in its latest release to run natively on linux?

It would probably be a lot of work to get the current sources to compile
and run properly under linux, the guys at icculus would be better able
to do that...

I see, I've tried compiling the icculus release of rott but it gives many errors, and it doesnt compile quickly. Besides, it's very outdated. Have you gotten it to compile?

The only version I've ever tried to compile under 'linux' (cygwin for windows)
was the original source release from 3drealms, I could try to compile
the latest winrottgl sources under cygwin to see what happens, but it's
meant for a 'windows only' compiler (msvc), I'll try it and see how it goes,
but first, I'll have to generate the appropriate compiler files for make,
other files will be:

configure.ac
aclocal.m4
config.guess

and so on, I've never tried this with windows-only sources, so I'm not entirely
sure it'll work. As an alternative, you could try running winrottgl under
a emulator like wine (I think wine is 'windows emulator' for linux, but I'm
not sure)...

Please try that, it'd be awesome to be able to run winrottgl under linux natively.
