Just a heads up, but http://www.sendspace.com is probably the best place to upload files. It's ok for now, but this is just for future reference.

As JBailey already knows, my vote is also for a Linux Release. Also, I just got my PC back up (again) and I am going to try the make file he posted in a few minutes here. I'll let everyone know how it went.

THANKS for the Welcome! I also made a New Thread in the Multiplayer forum, if anyone wants to check it out.

I am new to compiling things. I downloaded unrar in the package manager and extracted the file to my winrottglsrc142 folder that contains the source code. I noticed the name of the file wasn't "make" but I tried typing make in the terminal under the source folder like I usually do In Linux. I also tried typing the name of the file. So if anyone has any ideas that would be wonderful. Yeah, I know, I'm a noob at this. I'll get better though eventually. Smile

Did you try "make -f <makefile>"?

I'll try that now. Didn't know about that as a possible syntax. Thanks

That did something. There appears to be an error on line 4. I'll check it out and play with it.

Here is my Terminal Output:

[DJ@localhost ~]$ cd Desktop/Stuff/rott/winrottglsrc142
[DJ@localhost winrottglsrc142]$ make -f GL_WinRott.mak
GL_WinRott.mak:4: *** missing separator. Stop.

In regard to that I find the following line of code disturbing. It seems to me that if I don't find a way to configure it for Linux, it's going to create an EXE for a 32-bit windows by default:

!MESSAGE No configuration specified. Defaulting to GL_WinRott - Win32 Release.

How is the compiler ever going to know I want a Linux Release? Surprised
